People used to think it was amazing if you had a phone in your car...

And now its not unusual to find a 10 year old with their own cell phone.  Things we think are common parts of everyday life were once some sci-fi dream that people thought would never happen. Here is a few things that today we might think are bizzare but might be common place at your 20 year high school reunion.  Which do you think is most likely to become a reality? Why?  Choose three of the inventions and discuss how you think they will affect society.  What will they replace? How will they aid people? How will the hinder our current way of life?

  1. Bringing back extinct animals: I think this will be possible soon, there is a lot of work going on in DNA and cloning (If you united states wants to admit it or not) I think the possibility of cloning extinct animals is very close.

Helpful robots : I think we are very close to this as well i think this will have many pros and cons, cleaner house, less jobs.

Longer life spans, even though life spans have a tendency to go up and down per the average I think soon we will see slightly longer life spans because of technology and medical advances as well. If we will push our selfs to better personal health. Longer life spans will start on the personal change level. Laziness is much to easy in our society and really is a killer.

  2. I think the helpful robots will be the one that will come sooner than the rest. We already have little robot vaccums that drive around during the day for us already.

Helful robots: The advantage to this is that there will always be something there to do what we can't at a given time, but if we advance the robots to much to where they can do chors and other things, that is less jobs for people.

Longer life spans: the advantage to this is that everybody will have a chance to live longer, but the con to it is, if we span people's lives to much, we will have billions and billions of people, but no where to stay or maybe enough food.

Extinct animals: i think we are already close to doing this, we have already cloned some animals before, just the part of getting extinct animals back would be scary, we have way more people in the world today then there was back then.

  3. Helpful robots will probably be the first, there is arlready so much going on with "robots", like that vacuum that goes around the house by itself. Many robots now are perform one task or very few but we do not see them as robots, When you picture robots you picture something shaped as a human but really it is all around us.

I think that the contact lenses with internet is a really cool idea and would be very neat to have but then at the same time it seems like it is a bit much, and would require more than just lenses, when it would have to be programmed to ur mind or yhave some chip put inside you.

Bringing back extinct animals is not ag ood thing. There is a reason they are extinct and bringing them back can hurt our ecosystem which can be called very fragile, it you add or subtract anything in the mixture it can wipeout another group as well.

I think that if all this technology comes into our existance it will ruin people's life. If we bring back dinosaurs they may eat us, robots can turn and contact with chips can kill you. I think that all of this will come back to bite us and we will wish we never tried some of these ridiculous ideas, that are just another way of makeing people lazier than they are right now.

  4. I don't think i can see the "internet in your eyeballs" to me that one just seems really far fetched. and i would NOT like having that...that seems to be a little much.

I think the one where you can bring back extinct animals will be the most believable one. It would be really cool to see some of the extinct animals thousands of years later. Also where you won't be able to age after 30 would be pretty nice! to bad its not around now!

  5. The internet in your eyeballs one is extremely creepy to me it sounds really dangerous and strange. By the time it actually comes out, if it ever does, I suppose it won't sound so strange anymore. Maybe by the time it comes out all students will be learning by using these contacts and work have to actually go to school just go to a website streaming classes. They might think that it was strange that their parents and grandparents had to actually go to a building for classes and see the teacher first hand.
Also bringing back extinct animals is probably not a good idea. I am not sure what kind of problems that might create and messing with that kind of stuff is pretty scary to me. Dinosaurs need places to roam and eat meat they would be extremely dangerous. Why would they create them to sit in a zoo? Kind of a silly concept. I don't think dinosaurs would really ever have enough room to live especially if they reproduce they might take over the human population, who knows?
Helpful robots would have to be my favorite idea although I am not really into any of them. Robots could replace many jobs and do so much more than we can even comprehend right now. As they build more and more test robots they become more and more advanced. So every robot could potentially be an advancement and who knows what we could come up with if everyone's ideas were combined and good ideas built on and bad ones tossed out. Robots could be nurses and babysitters. They would most definitely take away jobs which our economy so desperately needs. They could also potentially fill up landfills depending on their size and the rate of advancements.

  6. It's hard to imagine any of these becoming a reality. But if I had to chose, I think the internet within the contact lens could happen. This would be very helpful when interacting with people who speak a different language. They say that when you speak to someone, their biography would appear; that might also include crimes they have committed (registered sex offender, prison time for murder etc.) that would be helpful.
I think helpful robots could exist within our lifetime. Computers ahve already taken over so much and eliminated jobs, they are just a simplified version of a robot. I think of the movie Bicentennial Man...it would come in handy to have a maid that I didn't have to pay!
The only other one that I think may happen is the virtual reality. It would be pretty neat to visit Rome and see the entire Roman Empire in your contact lens. Free tour guide!
It's hard to imagine any of these becoming our reality, but I'm sure people from 1900 would say the same about the things we use today on a daily basis, like this computer. The further technology progresses the more it makes me wonder if it's all beneficial. we could be creating a pretty interesting, possibly nasty reality.

  7. I think that in the distant future the top minds of the world will finally master the ability to bring back the lives of extinct animals. From what we hear about the progress on cloning and stem cell research, it leads me to believe that they must be on root to finding a formula for such a task. Again speaking of technology i think that robots that assist us in our daily jobs will be shortly on the way, thus imporoving the qualitly of life for most indiviuals. This could also lead to the lengthening of the average human life span, with all the medical advances and the new age technology and health tips that we have seemed to have mastered.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think the internet on contact lenses might become a reality eventually because they seem to be putting internet access everywhere these days. The robot maids would be kind of cool because I don't like cleaning house, but I think that robot nurses are taking it too far. People in the hospital need personal contact with people and a smiling face to help them get better not a robot without any feelings. Bringing back extinct animals and putting them in zoos is a ridiculus idea. For one how are you going to keep a T rex locked up safely and another why would you want to be brought to life to live in a cage. I would rather stay dead. My third is the long life span and living on other planets. I think if they are going to have people live longer they should work harder at where they are going to put all these people because it is crowded enough for me already.

  9. Bringing back extinct animals and humans are most likely to become a reality because with all of the new technology we have, it will happen within the next 100 years..not necessarily a good thing, in my opinion, but I wont be alive when it happens anyways. 1. The much longer life span would be awesome..aging no more than 30 years old. But there would also be way too many people for the Earth to handle, so bad things can come with that too. 2. Internet in your eyeballs..thats just weird and I would never want that..I would rather look at a computer. 3. The robots as nurses and other professions will take away alot of jobs for people and I think it would be creepy to walk around hospitals or any other place and see robots everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think that augmented and virtual reality seems most plausible within the next few decades. I can also see internet in your eyeballs happening easily too. This makes me think of Google Goggles, an application you can use with your phone that already allows for an overlay of information as you walk throughout a city street. I could see this happening more realistically in a pair of glasses rather than contact lenses anyway.
The advance that interests me most is the ability to bring back extinct animals. I don't jump to dinosaurs in my mind though - I think of the exotic animals we seem to be losing rapidly in this era. The ability to bring back homo sapiens kind of irks me a little bit though.
I love the idea of increasing the average life span of a human. Really the idea that would could be healthier, longer excites me - it seems to give people the chance to live a longer fuller life. The down side of this is that our planet is already overpopulated, and increasing the average life span allows for more people to stay here longer.
Helpful robots seems like another very real possibility. I feel like we've started in the right direction, using robots in the medical field to perform meticulous tasks that require a steady, microscopic hand.
All of these advances in technology could propel humanity into a direction that seems like complete science fiction right now. At the speed technology moves forward, many of these possibilities seem real.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The one mostly likely to become reality I think is the helpful robots. I feel people would be more open to having a robot cleaning their house, then having the blink of an eye to have internet. Internet in your eyes seems cool but at the same time scares me how easy the internet will be accessed. I think this would take over the computer and tablets. It would be easier for people to use the internet whenever they wanted. I feel by having internet in your eye balls it would be able to keep track of people and easier to steal information. Shape shifting I think would have a major affect on the society because people wouldn't have to go far for certain items that they may need. I feel this would replace a lot of business and I think it shows just how lazy people are becoming. Being able to have a longer lifespan would change the world forever. I would really replace anything other than the fact that people would be living a longer life. I am not sure this would help our society because there would be less jobs open to people.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The most likely will probably end up being the internet eye-balls because i think we have the technology to do that right now. The internet eye-ball will make us be on the web all the time surfing and looking up facts about people we see and meet. I think it will also cause us to be a little less social because we will focus on the internet more then the people in front of us. I also think the Augmented reality will be brought around because it definitely is within grasp with the computers we have today. I think it will make us see the history a little better because we can experience the actual story. Helpful Robots will be the next thing to pop up because we already see some of them showing up in a little less high-tech form. I dont think these are very necessary but they do seem like some interesting ideas for the future. I guess it was the same for the people in the past when they talked about smartphones, I guess it is just different so maybe that is why I cant see the use for them but in the future who knows they could be the everyday thing.

  13. Having robot maids and butlers is one I think would become a reality. As society is advancing so is its technology. Having a robot to clean our house will allow less mistakes and less things forgot when cleaning even the dirtiest messes. They will replace a lot of jobs.

Augumented and virtual reality by wearing contact lenses you would be able to see the way life once was. Being able to see ancient cities that were once alive.

Also longer lifespans. This would affect society by having a larger population. Causing crowding issues. This would help aid people to be able to do more in life.

  14. 1. Longer life spans, i think that in the future there will a cure for some diseases not all because technology is becoming so advanced.

    2. Helpful Robots, i think there will be robots that will be everything a human can do and will replace jobs such as cleaning and babysitting.

    3. Brining back extinct animal: i think this is possible because they do a lot of cloning so with the advanced technology that spread like crazy will give them a chance bring back those animals by cloning.

  15. I have never experience a class reunion so i can't speculate,in my opinion the thing that will come reality or it probably has is in the weapons division. There are lots of high tech. weapons that were just a thing out of man's dreams like heat seeking firearms, firearms that can hit an assailant around corners, high tech. tankers etc.My three inventions that i think will affect society is the eco car because it can help to curb pollution greatly in the coming years.Another invention is robots in the years to come they can be a great ali in household duties and work related stuff.
And cloning although this is something out of sci fi movies scientist have already unlocked the mystery of cloning and it's highly debated even today. It has some benefits such as ending world hunger but in my opinion no man can't play GOD.

  16. the thing i think is the most bizzare is the jurassic park i really don't want to be running from cave men and dinosaurs and stuff. so i don't like it

    ReplyDelete
  17. Robots will probably be the first to happen. It is crazy to think that by the time we are well into our 90's and 100's how much technology will have changed. The thought kind of terrifies me because even how far technology has come since I was little has been huge. Who ever would have guessed that we would have 3D televisions by now? And that touch screens are showing up every where, and all you have to do is tap it and you can instantly get what you want? Maybe I was just raised kind of old-fashioned, but I would rather hold things with my hands and be able to do the work by myself and earn my living then getting by on life by using technology to make my life easier. I feel like these new inventions will create an "easy button" and if any of you have seen the movie Wall-E, that movie should have taught us to slow down with technology that makes our lives easier and less energetic. That is my opinion. If I had it my way the world wouldn't even have this much technology. I think people need to start learning about culture again, and learning about themselves by seeing the world through their own eyes, not through a technological eye.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am really sad I missed class today. I am sure it was real boring without me...anyways. I think that the technology will keep advancing and things that would be crazy to us now wont be in 20 years. I think that the ages of people will be longer. I am sure there will be some sort of helpful robots crusing around. Those are the only two I see as realistic. However, who knows in twenty years! Miss your class.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Much longer life span. With all of the medical advances that we have I believe that this could happen very soon. The robots I think would just make us plain lazy. Also the internet in you eyes that is crazy and seems a little painful at the same time. But bringing back the instinct animals just seems like a bad idea. Sometimes technology just needs to quit. It goes a little over board and we lose track of who we are without it. Although yes it would be nice to actually see a live dinosaur that may be going a little too far.

  20. internet in the eyeballs?! this one will be one of those things that when or if it comes out it will be another traffic accident waiting to happen because they will want to go on the internet while they are driving.
most of these things that they are coming up with are truly illogical just because most of the items they are thinking about will either make a person lazy or will cause more harm than good

    ReplyDelete
  21. The rate at which technology is changing is crazy!!! I think that the first thing that will be invented is the helpful robots cause scientists are already so close. I think that these robots will take away jobs and make people incredibly lazy. I think that the next invention will be a much longer life span (social security will by crazy), but only to 120 because that's the what God says in the Bible. I also think that they will be able to bring back extinct animals eventually also. This may be bad because I truly believe in survival of the fittest!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think that the resurrecting extinct animals is a likely science that will happen in the near future. I have heard of no progress in this field but i am optimistic and i want to see dinosaurs in real life. Longer life spans will be helpful in keeping super smart people alive to work on more smart things but this might cause some overpopulation. The shape shifting nanobots will be super helpful in space conservation but will probably be super expensive and will probably just make people lazier. The internet contacts would super cool and convenient but i think that they would be super distracting and even more people would get in car crashes, but by then it would probably be more like teleportation crashes or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think helpful robots will be very soon if not present. The vaccuum robots have been here for years and I could see much more robotics in the future.

Helpful Robots: As long as we don't get too lazy I think the robotic help would be very helpful.

Longer Life Spans: With advances of technology, especially in the medical field, longer life spans are bound to come about sooner or later.

Extinct Animals: I could see this happening not quite this soon but a few years from now. Although it may be possible, it'd be even more scary.

    ReplyDelete
  24. robots that can do what you tell them will probably be the first thing.next thing you know everybody will be out of jobs because of robots i would infact want my own robot so i would have to say i cant wait till the future comes are society could go good or bad depending on how we make it

    ReplyDelete
  25. Which do you think is most likely to become a reality? [Helpful robots.] Why? [Because we're always looking for a way to make life easier. If we can pawn work off on others, we will. Just imagine a world where the "others" couldn't say "no."] Choose three of the inventions and discuss how you think they will affect society. [Well, instant internet I think could be extremely helpful but extremely dangerous as well. Although it would make information more accessible and communication between cultures easier, the effort is necessary for us to make accurate judgments. How much I am willing to try to communicate with you, how much I am willing to get to know you... that says a lot about who I am as a person. When information is all instant, who will we be? Next, I think the Jurassic Park idea is horrible. Things died for a reason. Maybe not good ones, but the world hasn't stopped turning. If we brought an exotic bird back to life that hasn't lived for hundreds or even thousands of years, what would that do to our environment? Maybe it would just happen to make a species of mice go extinct because it feeds on them. Maybe it would cross-pollinate corn with venus fly traps. Who knows. And that's exactly why we shouldn't do it: No one knows. Finally, changing physical objects. Nanobots. Cool! So many more options in life! But remember what I said about how we're always trying to make life easier? What happens when we have so many choices we can no longer decide? We mistake choice for freedom often, but really choices can hold us hostage.] What will they replace? [I think a lot of technology will really replace independent and critical thought. When what everyone has and does is all the same, where did our individuality go?] How will they aid people? [Many of these new technologies will be great for helping people who are ill or helping people communicate, even helping us educate people.] How will the hinder our current way of life? [Well, first we have to admit that our current way of life isn't all that fabulous to begin with, either. But in the next few decades I think we'll really begin flying toward the singularity. That will suck.]

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shit is crazy. I think they are all equally likely to become reality. China is definitely capable of inventing all of these things, they've been making rapid advancements in the technological department. Chinese/Japanese scientists are whack. I think most of these inventions, especially the helpful robots, Internet capable contact lenses, and virtual reality, will ultimately make the world a worse place. With all these new innovations people are going to start being extremely lazy and the world will fall apart.

    ReplyDelete
  27. DNA and cloning is kinda already here so it might just expland in the future. Robots are also in a way here like the little vacuums that you push a button same with mops and it will go on its own and "clean" your floor, who knows how good it cleans but it supposeofly works. The remote control cars are also a type of robot. New technology is also escalating and there is always room for improvement. The longer life span would be ridiculous because we are already overpopulated in the world, if you think about how walmart is running out of necessities like groceries with all the new population in williston what would it be with tons more people?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Katie King says...
I think that the helpful robots are most likely to become reality. They will help people in many ways, but also people will become less active because they will have a robot do all the work for them.

1.Augumented and virtual reality was another article that caught my eye. I think that this could happen later in life. This will help people see where others are at along with other things.

    2. Bringing back extinct animals would be amazing. It would change the world so much. It would be really scary but to have these animals in zoo's would be sweet. It would be nice to "go back in time" and see these animals.

    3. Much longer life spans was the other one I was interested in. It would be nice to have your loved ones with you longer, but there is also a time in life when it is their time to go. I want to see how that works. Will we start aging at a later age and stay young longer?

Some of these inventions seem crazy but I'm sure soon enough, most of them will be "normal" to us.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think the life span one is strange. We could be heading this way soon with all new medicine they are coming out with lately. Also the robot one is crazy. We could be using robot soon. The Jurassic Park is weird. I wouldn't want old extinct animals like dinosaurs coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Technology and the world around us is always changing and evoloving into bigger things. What I think is most likely to become a reality is the helping robots. I believe that the we have the technology to create these and probobably already have a prototype in the making

    1. The robots could be in any aspect of human life. They would be in the house, work, library, doctor's office, or in school. By having robots this could replace what human's could do and will take the jobs away from many people. I think that this is a bad thing because robots are not as reliable as a human.
    2. Bringing back extinct animals would be really cool. Ultimatly, they could probably replace the the normal zoos today and create new ones featuring the extinct animals. However, I don't think I would like to see a dinasaur escaping and killing off people.
    3. The virtual reality is something that would probably replace the history channel. By being able to be right up close to history, people will be more intersted in what they are watching. I am not sure if this will work, but it would be really cool to see events from the past.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think the one most likely to be a reality is an augmented reality. The reason why I think this is because they are already working on virtual reality with some video games and such. I think in the future they’ll be able to insert people into a whole new virtual world completely.
One that I would think would be most effective against society would be the extended lifespan. This would fix a lot of health issues that are associated with old age. However, it would also negatively affect the world because the population would be so over-flowing and it would increase population related problems. This would replace the need for doctors if people have an extended age, instead of being 100 considered old, 200 would be. It would definitely replace our thinking on “old age.”
A second one that would affect society a lot would be the returning of extinct animals. This would be good because some of the animals that are on the verge of extinction could be returned, and their population could be multiplied. However, some of the animals that are extinct could be very dangerous against man, such as things like dinosaurs, sabre-toothed tigers, and mammoths. They could threaten the food chain way of life, replacing the things on the food chain with things that have long been gone.
The third one I think would affect society the most would be helpful robots. This would be good because a lot of the jobs that people don’t want to do could be done by them, and these robots could help out people with housework so there would be more time for things like work and school work. This could be bad because people will become lazy, lazier than they are now for that matter. They could also eliminate the very limited jobs for people. Why pay someone to do something when you can buy a robot, and have him do it. Also, there is a slight risk of robots becoming resentful towards humans and becoming evil and killing the human race (iRobot). Only a slight chance though.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Of these, I think the most likely to become a reality is the internet in your contact lenses. Technological devices are getting smaller and smaller as the minute passes. I think that fitting a computer into the size of a contact lens isn't unrealistic.
The three inventions I picked were the Shape Shifter, The Robot and the bringing back of extinct animals. The Shape Shifter kind of blows my mind as it is incomprehensible. If one was able to obtain one of these devices, there would be no need for stores or to produce other items as one could just make them appear. There would be a lot of people out of jobs as well. The Robot is a little more believable, but still far from reach. They indeed would be very helpful, but I think laziness would be outrageous and obesity would be an even worse problem. But maybe there would be something else invented to stop that. The bringing back of extinct animals is a bit ridiculous. Not only does this seem to be next to impossible, but a can't see how this would aid society. People would not know how to handle these new species and I think there may be great destruction.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think the internet in your eyeballs is the most likely because it would be a best-seller. It would basically replace computers, televisions, and video games. You could just play them on your eyes. Although i'm not sure if our organic make-up could really adapt to the technology. The eyes are very complex and the focusing on an object right on your eyeball will be very difficult on your eyes and most likely ruin your sight.

Virtual reality is the most probable. A very helpful tourism tool along with, i believe, the prospect of a new way of learning, a very fun way too, in my opinion. Not only would it be helpful in war tactics but also in dangerous situations for civilians.

Bringing back extinct animals would as dumb of a mistake as it was shown to be in Jurassic park. We do not know for sure what these animals ate, what their habitat was like, or even what their atmosphere was like. The planet is crowded enough and enough animals go through abuse as it is. My view is they went extinct for a reason.

Longer lives is just plain wrong. Humans are playing God enough. Not that i do not think the advances in technology and in the medical field. Finding cures for cancer and AIDs and other seriously killer diseases is amazing but thats mostly due to infections that humans have created. I just do not like the idea of playing God and just have to ask the question when does technology get too great, when do we become the lesser species to machines?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think from the choices given, the robot seems the most realistic idea for our generation. There are numerous amounts of robots that we use today, as the article pointed out, we have robots in our homes and in our hospitals. I can see the first maid robot coming out within the nest 30-40 years at the rate technology is advancing. The most unrealistic sci-fi creations I think are the contact lenses, the shape shifting, and the long life span. I think all of these are great ideas but the chances of them happening, in my mind are slim to none. The longer life span would be beneficial to everyone I think however I also believe that everyone has their time to go. Shape Shifting seems pretty much impossible in my mind. That would be pretty much like magic if that happened and the world would be faced with an extremely high rate of unemployment all due to the Shape shifter, slightly ridiculous if you ask me. As for the contact lenses, I have contacts and I physically don't see or understand how they could possibly help translate languages and show you directions. If such thing ever was created I would probably not want them just because thats so different from what I'm use to.

  35. I think that helpful robots and longer life spans are definitively possible.
As we have already seen as we progress with medication and healthier lifestyles our lives last longer. Therefore as we further our studies theoretically we shall live longer.
Helpful robots.. Shoot, we already have vacuum bots we have to be getting somewhat close to a bot that can understand different voice commands or maybe a remote but can deliver you things around the house or clean.

With these different inventions we are losing jobs and our personal lives are getting easier. It will make it cheaper and nicer for the business owner but how about for the workers. It will cut out simple minded tasks that take just a person there to do them. People will have to learn to use their brains more because thinking jobs will be the only ones that are left.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think helpful robots are going to become a reality fairly soon because there are already robots around and with the rate these technologies are coming into the world and the fact that the Japanese are steadily working on helpful robots, it just seems achievable.
    1. Helpful Robots- Will replace nurses, butlers, caregivers. They will be great in the sense that this could speed up the process of caring to patients. It will be a luxury to have a robot butler. These robot caregivers will not have the ability to make judgements, and will treat everyone fairly. These robots could make people lazy in the sense that they will do everything for you. This could see people suffering from obesity rise.
    2. Bringing Back Extinct Animals- Will totally restructure the food chain. I believe it will be neat for a short while but I think our ecosystem would be affected negatively very fast. I mean, our ecosystem is able to change and adjust but if we add dinosaurs and creatures of that sort to the mix it could really ruin things. I do not see it happening due to how crazy the idea is. There will be so many naysayers like me and they will have to get so much approval to bring back these animals.
    3. Much Longer Life Spans- I can see them finding out what in our genetics makes us live longer than chimps and using it to make us live even longer. However, I am unclear of how this will be done. There are too many factors such as diet, injuries, and lifestyle that effect how long someone lives for. I like the idea of this but I am curious about the details of it and how they plan on making it happen. If this were to happen we could have a population crisis and I’m not sure everyone could afford it. No new jobs would open up as people would be able to work for much longer before retiring. I think it would hard to make this idea a reality and a success.

    ReplyDelete

  38. I think the idea that is closest to becoming a reality is helpful robots. The idea is very reticent of the Jetsons and our society is becoming lazier with each generation. I think the technology Honda possesses with their robots could be used to create robots that would be able to fetch things from kitchen, clean the floors, and potentially prepare meals.

The next most feasible idea in my opinion, is resurrecting extinct animals via their DNA. There have been amazing advancements in the scientific fields which I believe have opened the doors for these animals to breathe again.

The third idea I believe most interesting is "seeing television." While I think a more plausible idea would be sunglasses that were compact and could receive wi-fi or a cell signal. Maybe even glasses that would plug into a cell phone, similar to headphones.

The idea of helpful robots also could be used in hospitals where sterility is pertinent. The robots also would run off programs backed by data, possibly removing human error from procedures. The down-side to this brilliant technology is that it may be cheaper for hospitals to purchase machines instead of pay humans like many industries have been able to do. This would leave a huge number of individuals out of jobs, prolonging our nation's problem of unemployment.

  39. I think robots that can do what you tell them will probably be the first thing. The next thing you know everybody will be out of jobs because of robots be going all the job.I think i would want my own robot so i would have to do the things i didnt like to do. I also think are society could go good or bad depending on how we make it.
