Google also plans to be releasing their own version on netbooks called the "Chromebook" A cloud based system, your OS is closely based off a web browser, storing little data on the device itself. So even if you were to lose your Chromebook, you would be able to log into your Google account through any other Chromebook.

The first article above was about how smartphones are impacting the workplace and the family. On the commute to work people are starting to check work e-mails and such on their smartphones, good for business right now but soon that will become expected and people that don't do it will be left in the dust and probably jobless. The family is becoming more and more electronic and not really discussing with each other. My mother texts me from across the house to ask me something. The article concluded that if this continues we're likely to lose the skill of talking face-to-face.
The second article is about making it easier to connect to people so you never really feel alone.

We think Facebook is pretty neat, almost everyone in college has one. It is constantly being updated with new technology, such as the ticker that shows you’re most recent activities. Facebook is constantly trying to improve and often uses the most recent technology to do so. It’s a great way to keep up with friends and family, and people from most countries in the world. Not only can you keep up with friends, but Facebook can be used to track people down, such as in the first and second article.

Smart cars are the real deal. They are only about $12,000 and get about 40 MPG, so you can travel about 350 miles before your next petrol visit. Therefore, these cars are a huge money saver! These cars accelerate from 0-60 in about 12.8 seconds, not super fast but fast then your average scooter. The first thing you notice when you see a smart car is the size; 8 feet, 2.5 inches long, and less than 5 feet long and about 5 feet tall. Smart cars are one of the safest cars on the road, although not so much in the impact category. These cars are great, if you need a way to save money, buy a smart car!

ReplyDeleteFor our group we chose to compare the US and Canadian health care systems. From our findings we discovered many odvious pros and cons, as well as many surprising facts. In the Canadian system, health care is free of cost, care is extended, and this system acts a an model towards other systems. The cons are longer waiting lists, no competition and raised taxes. For the American system, health care is improved because of competition, taxes are reduced, and waiting lists are shortened. The cons are the raise in insurance premiums, many citizens will be unable to afford care, and citizens may be discouraged from obtaining health care because of steep prices.
